Lacking points for style, the 1989 Volvo 240DL is one of the last of the heavy steel models. It feels like you could
go through a brick wall with it; it rarely needs servicing. In the over two years I've head it, the only thing it
needed besides oil changes were brake pads and tires. I bought it as a 2nd car for $1500, and as much as I've love to
upgrade to a better model of car, I don't have the heart to part with such a dependable workhorse. 30mpg avg
